The Practice

THERAPY:

I offer one on one sessions, using Embodied Processing and Somatic IFS therapy as my main modalities. I also use my training as an attachment therapist, breath work coach, energy medicine practitioner and movement therapist as a tool box to create a holistic and versatile practice that can move with the flow of the session and need of the client to truly support growth and transformation in a safe and effective way.

Sessions are built around a talk therapeutic conversation between client and therapist that also invites for the client to get in touch with the body and felt sense to allow for the process of stuck emotions to take place. We  might also utilise visualisations, various grounding and resourcing techniques, breath-work, etc to create the most profound results.

COACHING:

Somatic coaching is a mind-body focused approach to moving towards your goals, identifying where you blocks are and helping you move through them so that you can create the life you wish to live and get support and accompaniment on your journey.

what is IFS?

INTERNAL FAMILY SYSTEM THERAPY

"IFS is a transformative tool that conceives of every human being as a system of protective and wounded inner parts led by a core Self. We believe the mind is naturally multiple and that is a good thing. Just like members of a family, inner parts are forced from their valuable states into extreme roles within us. Self is in everyone. It can’t be damaged. It knows how to heal.

IFS is frequently used as an evidence-based psychotherapy, helping people heal by accessing and healing their protective and wounded inner parts. IFS creates inner and outer connectedness by helping people first access their Self and, from that core, come to understand and heal their parts.

But IFS is much more than a non-pathologizing evidence-based psychotherapy to be used in a clinical setting. It is also a way of understanding personal and intimate relationships and stepping into life with the 8 Cs: confidence, calm, compassion, courage, creativity, clarity, curiosity, and connectedness. Professionals from many different backgrounds such as, but not limited to, body workers, legal mediation, school administration, life coaches, and religious leaders may utilize IFS to inform and guide their work. Our growing list of educational programs aims to serve not only therapists but the wider public and other professions."

 - THE IFS INSTITUTE

"Somatic IFS introduces a new therapeutic modality that blends principles of somatic therapy–like movement, touch, and breathwork–with the traditional tools of the Internal Family Systems framework.

Within the IFS framework, clients will learn to identify their “inner worlds”–the discrete subpersonalities within each of us that hold emotions, perceptions, and belief systems, and that affect our behavior and emotional wellness. Body-based somatic tools are incorporated into therapy as patients learn to recognize different facets of their internal family and reconcile the needs of subpersonalities–like their inner child or internal manager–to bring more harmony to their physical and emotional well-being.

Clinical applications include the treatment of depression, trauma, anxiety, eating disorders, chronic illness, and attachment disorders."
