My Journey

My own lived experience has been my main drive and inspiration in wanting to do this work. It has invited me to live, heal and grow through a lot of both pain and joy.

I lost my father and best friend at the age of 18 and experienced huge struggles to, as others put it “deal” with my grief. I was diagnosed with severe anxiety and depression (which at the time felt like pathologizing a very normal grieving process) and was put on medications which I declined intuitively knowing I don’t need antidepressants - I need support to feel through my grief. At the age of 20 I was hospitalized for being suicidal. During the next years I struggled with disordered eating, sexual abuse, addiction, abusive and destructive relationships, BPD, self harm etc which all resulted in living an extremely disembodied life.

This all lead to my own long and winding healing journey through spiritual practices, traditional therapy, self help - any thing I could find I tried. I knew the medical system had failed me over and over, and my encounters with the psychiatric industry (although very useful at times) never left me feeling much better. I craved result, I craved transformation, true healing - to actually see change. And so I turned to the only other option I had available to me at the time - Energy Healing.

I spent many years studying all kinds of healing modalities from Shamanic Energy Medicine with Alberto Villoldo, to Reiki, to Indian Kundhalini Crystal healing and Theta Healing. But still felt something was missing.

When I started studying Qigong, it was when I realize the missing link - the body.  And when I discovered the world of somatics, I knew I had truly found what I was looking for. The journey back to my own body has been the most healing and important process of my life. And once I started applying the somatic principles to my approach to healing - change really started to happen. In a fully embodied, real and sustainable way.

Today, while (living with PMDD) and of course still navigating life’s challenges and ups and downs and always learning and evolving I feel the happiest, healthiest, most inspired, joyful, embodied, self-loving I have ever been and it’s through my own personal journey as well as my studies and learnings that I accompany my clients through theirs. And it’s the biggest honor and privilege I can imagine.

I have always been dedicated to find the most effective and powerful approach to healing, and Somatic Therapy is by far the most beautiful and grounded approach I have encountered. By bridging the gap between body and mind, physical and non-physical, feeling and story I have found a practice that truly gets to the root cause, that allows for a full expression of emotion that can truly heal at the core. Never have I seen better result and transformation as I have both in my clients and myself and I’m absolutely passionate about helping people discover the immense power of coming back to their bodies and back to their true selves. By creating safety and trust in our bodies, by alchemising our pain into power, by fully processing our undigested trauma, and create a safe space to feel and explore all that needs to be felt and seen we can reach emotional freedom and become who we are truly meant to be.

In my work as a therapist I aim to include all levels of our being, the body, mind, heart and spirit to create a truly holistic approach to healing and transformation. I use a somatic & parts work focused approach and intuitive way to guide my clients through a deep exploration of their emotional, physical and psychological world. Coming back to the body, back to safety, and back to the self.
